A hot rumor about the hot Android phone Motorola DROID X just made the website of the rumor source down. I’m not sure if it’s been hacked or just server problem due to overload traffic. But anyway, seems like all DROID X users have been waiting for so long to get the Android 2.2 Froyo and it suddenly becomes a huge breaking news for them.

I just tried to open the source of the rumor www.mydroidworld.com and unfortunately it can’t be accessed but there’s a message said,

“We tried running Froyo on this server since it worked so well on our phone….long story short…it didn’t work!…hahaha.”

So, you guess what’s happening! But basically it’s about the rumor that the Motorola DROID X will get the Android Froyo in less than 24 hours. I guess either the server is overloaded, or some people who is disappointed just did something wrong with the server.

Well, doesn’t matter if this is true or not but you can check it from your phone if there’s any update (Menu > Settings > About Phone). But for now you may check this video below. It’s a Motorola DROID running Android 2.2 Froyo posted few weeks ago.

Few days ago Forbes reported about the sms exploit in iPhone. Apple then responds to this dangerous security issue quickly by releasing iPhone 3.0.1 update to the current iPhone OS 3.0 to fix the security vulnerability. The update which supposed to be released on Saturday now already available in iTunes. It’s intended for iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS device.Simply connect your iPhone to iTunes and the update will automatically show up.

Read the quote from Forbes article below:

On Thursday, two researchers plan to reveal an unpatched iPhone bug that could virally infect phones via SMS.

If you receive a text message on your iPhone any time after Thursday afternoon containing only a single square character, Charlie Miller would suggest you turn the device off. Quickly.

Don’t know yet whether there’s any other changes to the existing features with this update. But if you want to update yours i suggest you to backup your iPhone first. Mine was failed to update at the first time and i have to recover it. Furtunately i have the latest backup just few minutes before. If you experience the same problem just reconnect your iPhone to your iTunes and let it proceed the recovery process. Once it’s done you can restore from the backup.
