With so many Android phones coming recently, that’s good to have more options to choose from. But actually most of them are premium class with around $600+ on the price tag leaving an impression that Android users are identical with middle-high class of people. But the Samsung Conquer 4G would probably change that image. The phone which supposed to be an entry-level Android phone will be offered supposedly from Sprint at $50-100 price range with a two-year contract, nice isn’t it?

However, don’t under estimate this low cost Android phone just by looking at the price tag. The specs of the phone is absolutely worth of the cost or even better. Say the 1 GHz processor that’s probably the same with other Samsung Galaxy phones. Other specs include Android 2.x which is most likely Gingerbread, 320 x480 HVGA touch sceen which is the same resolution as the Samsung Replenish, 3.1 megapixel rear-facing camera and VGA front-facing camera. But the most important thing is the WiMAX support and a QWERTY slider keyboard which is probably could become strong selling points.

Well, this phone has yet to be officially unveiled but July 24th seems to be the launch date of the phone.

The phone will be available this summer but thanks to those folks who have spent their times making and shared the Motorola Photon 4G hands-on videos. However, of those many Motorola Photon 4G hands-on videos, most of them were taken in a rush in order to be the first to post that kind of video but then became not really interesting neither useful. So after watching several videos, here i shared 5 of my favorite ones.

This video posted by folks at BWOne and it’s similar with the one from BGR.

Remember the HTC Kingdom and HTC Rider image leaks posted by Chinese HTC blog 911Sniper couple of days ago? There were not much info we know at that moment except that the Kingdom has a qHD (540×960 pixels) resolution and one of them is very similar to EVO device. But today we can get more info as the 911Sniper posted the actual ROM of the Kingdom and the Rider.

First of all, the HTC Kingdom is likely the EVO 3D. And from what’s inside the ROM it’s clearly said that this device is intended for Sprint indicated by the ROM (Kingdomg_Sprint_WWE…). If you are interested to read more details about the packages inside the ROM, AndroidPolice blog wrote an interesting post about it.

Well, it’s all clear at least for the handsets. Now we’re waiting for release date and also other info will be posted here once available.

While people are always talking about famous brands when it comes to Android smartphones including Samsung, Motorola, HTC or LG, Sprint tried to bring something different by introducing Kyocera Echo. Featuring two high-resolution 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen display, Kyocera Echo became the first dual-touchscreen Android smartphone at the moment. The Kyocera Echo will be available exclusively from Sprint this Spring for $199.99 after mail in rebate.

Those two screens are connected by a patent-pending “pivot hinge” which enables it to work independently, side-by-side or combined to form an oversized 4.7-inch (diagonally) integrated display like a tablet, interesting isn’t it? While in a closed position, the Kyocera Echo will act as a pocket-friendly, single-display smartphone just like others.

So with the dual-touchscreen, you can choose to use the Kyocera Echo in one of the following modes.

Single-Screen Mode – Just like common smartphones, it will have all the functionality of a single display, touchscreen smartphone

Simul-Task Mode – You can run concurrent apps on each screen independently such as reading email on one screen and opening a text message on the other, or checking Facebook via the browser on one screen while looking through a photo gallery on the other.

Optimized Mode – you can optimize app with complementary functionality such as compose email on one screen with a touchscreen keyboard on the other.

Tablet Mode – this probably the most interesting part where you can combine those two screens to become a large 4.7-inch display like a tablet.

If you still can’t imagine how it works, this video below probably will give you better insight. The ES400 will be the first Motorola device to be carrier-branded and sold to enterprise through the Sprint Direct and Business Solutions Partners sales channels.
