With the launch of the Motorola DROID today, the BlackBerry Storm2 seems not really interesting anymore. After delayed for few days Verizon finally officially announced the BlackBerry Storm2 on Monday, October 26. And today the phone hits Verizon stores, but does anybody care? Or maybe yes for those of you who are BlackBerry freaks. Someone posted a picture of one of Verizon’s store and said that he’s the only one waiting for the BlackBerry Storm2.

Along with the announcement of the BlackBerry Storm 2, Verizon also released the new BlackBerry OS 5.0 software for the existing BlackBerry Storm customers. Let’s take a look at the newest hands-on video below just posted by Mobilecrunch. According to the video, the BlackBerry OS 5.0 update has turned the Storm into an iPhone clone. And absolutely makes the previous Storm better, faster and more responsive. Anway if you want to update your device you better free your time at least 1 hour since the update would take around 45 minutes. And you know what, it only works with Internet Explorer.

Just like what Vodafone did on the launch of the BlackBerry Storm 2 last week, the phone stuff came to the website before the official press release. And now folks at the CB Forums just found some interesting BlackBerry Storm 2 materials on the Verizon Wireless website. It’s the 3D view of the phone. So, you guess it! But i’m pretty sure that the launch date is just not far away.
