Finally Symbian phone owners can enjoy their  Facebook activities through their phones. Now the official application for Facebook client available and can be downloaded for free through the Nokia Ovi Store. The application currently available only for Symbian S60 5th Edition.

“Facebook ® for Nokia S60 Touch lets you keep up with your friends right at your fingertips. Update your status, see what your friends are up to, upload photos, check messages and lookup phone numbers when you need them anytime and anywhere. Facebook allows you to comment on your friend’s statuses, RSVP to event invites and confirm or deny friend requests. The Facebook for Nokia S60 brings Facebook directly to your phone If Facebook is not available for your device, please check Ovi Store”.

According to the source, the Facebook for Symbian works slightly better in landscape mode since more tabs can be viewed at once. During the testing of the application, it’s was hang on a few occassions and sometimes you need to close it when it becomes unresponsive. So, it’s not a perfect applications but at least all features expected from Facebook client are already implemented on this application, and last but not least, it’s official.
