Seems like 3D display technology will be the next trend for smartphones and tablets with so many new devices released with 3D-enabled display recently. And at the Display Taiwan 2011 conference in Taipei this week, display manufacturer CPT show cased an iPad 2 with 3D-enabled display.

Apple has been rumored to being testing iPad models with 3D-enabled display technology in the ultra-slim aluminum case. But this one show cased by CPT would probably not fitted to what Apple is expected as the company is likely to opt for a glass-free panel. Moreover, the 3D capability would only be an added benefit if the iPad has a Retina Display.

Well once again, this is just a prototype only and will never seen in production. But that could be a hint that 3D-enabled display is possible to put into the thin iPad body and people are hoping to get see this on the next iPad 3. The iPad 3 it self is expected to release in Q2 2012 which is still another one year. So, there will be still many things could happened.

However, don’t under estimate this low cost Android phone just by looking at the price tag. The specs of the phone is absolutely worth of the cost or even better. Say the 1 GHz processor that’s probably the same with other Samsung Galaxy phones. Other specs include Android 2.x which is most likely Gingerbread, 320 x480 HVGA touch sceen which is the same resolution as the Samsung Replenish, 3.1 megapixel rear-facing camera and VGA front-facing camera. But the most important thing is the WiMAX support and a QWERTY slider keyboard which is probably could become strong selling points.

Well, this phone has yet to be officially unveiled but July 24th seems to be the launch date of the phone.

So, what does it mean? In Windows Phone, Microsoft tried to offer functionality as built-in features giving faster and more convenient access to those features accordingly. While Apple through the iOS offers functionality as an app. However, this approach has been used by Apple since the first time iPhone launched. And seems that Apple has been doing great job on this if we looking at the App Store.

Well this fact really gives an impression as if Windows Phone has better features set overall compared to iOS. But at the end, it’s the market who will judge which one has the better offer.  So, who do you think is better?

Huawei just posted the first teaser video of the MediaPad, the new Android tablet from Huawei that’s scheduled for June 20th announcement. Not much we can tell from this video though since mostly taken from behind. But you can expect to see a fancy-looking 7-inch tablet similar to the HTC Flyer. Huawei said that it will be their smartest, smallest and lightest tablet ever.

What we’ve seen from the video, it’s looks promising so far. But of course it’s all depend on the price and the other marketing campaign from Huawei to be able to compete with other famous names like iPad, Motorola Xoom and PlayBook.

If you open the link posted on the twitter, you can see that the sn0wbreeze 2.8b1 also support other devices like iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 (GSM/CDMA), iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4 and iPad 1G. The iOS 5 support only for iOS 5.0 beta 1 (9A5220p).

Well, we could expect to see other iOS 5 jailbreak coming before the official release this fall.

There’s no specific info regarding devices or iOS version that will be supported by this JailbreakMe 3.0. However, you could possibly expect to see the iPad 2 iOS 4.3.3 jailbreak which is not yet supported by other jailbreak tools like RedSn0w, PwnageTool and Sn0wbreeze. It’s also interesting to see whether the JailbreakMe will also support the new iOS 5 which the beta developer version has been early jailbroken recently.

When iPad 2 arrived 3 months ago, Comex has revealed that he successfully jailbroken it, but then Apple fix the iPad 2 jailbreak vulnerability in iOS 4.3.1.
