3 New Android Phones from KDDI Coming to Japan

Big joy for Android fans in Japan. KDDI Corp who owns the second largest cellular operator in Japan AU, today introduces three new Android smartphones, the Toshiba REGZA Phone IS04, Sharp IS05 and the Pantech SIRIUSα IS06. These three handsets will join the IS series of the phone lineup and are expected to be available after late December, 2010.

REGZA Phone IS04 – The first Android smartphone from Toshiba for Japan market. It features a slick and stylish design which is similar to Xperia, 4-inch screen with 854×480 resolution, 1 GHz Snapdragon CPU, one-segment TV tuner, microSDHC slot, 12.19 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, KDDI new WIN HIGH SPEED data connection with a data speed upto 9.2 Mbps (Download) + 5.5 Mbps (Upload) and Waterproof casing. This phone running on Android 2.1 and expected to be available around January 2011.

Sharp IS05 – A handy-sized smartphone intended for female users features 3.4-inch screen with 854×480 resolution, 1 GHz Snapdradon CPU, one-segment TV Tuner, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 8 megapixel camera with Autofocus, 720 video shooting capability, microSDHC slot. This phone running on Android 2.2 Froyo.

Pantech SIRIUSα IS06 – Also comes with Android 2.2 Froyo with multi touch panel using 3G icons, this phone features 3.4-inch screen with 800×480 resolution and running KDDI new WIN HIGH SPEED data connection with a data speed up to 9.2 Mbps (Download) + 5.5 Mbps (Upload). It also has one-segment TV Tuner, microSDHC slot and 5 megapixel camera with Autofocus. This phone is expected to be available in Japan from end of December 2010.

Toshiba TG01 Officially Launched in Orange Romania

The highly anticipated mobile phone featuring the fastest processor in the market Toshiba TG01 now available in Orange Romania. The phone is available in Orange shops, stores and shop online partner Orange, at prices started at 399 euros with Orange subscription of 14 euros, closed for two years. The Toshiba TG01 was first launched few weeks ago in NTT Docomo Japan with the name T-01. And now i’m sure many people are expecting the phone.

Toshiba TG01 so far is the first and the only phone using Qualcomm Snapdragon chip with 1GHz processor. It comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and HSDPA connectivity with speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. Besides it also features a large touch screen size of 4.1 inch with 800×480 pixels WVGA, a 3.2 megapixel camera and an expansion memory slot up to 32 GB.

Toshiba 1GHz Smartphone T-01A Available on NTT Docomo

T-Mobile, Sprint and other giant carriers in USA and Europe may have famous device such G1, iPhone, Palm Pre, and others. But the first smartphone using Qualcomm Snapdragon chip with 1GHz processor arrived in Japan. It’s NTT Docomo who have made this phone available for their subscribers. But just looked at the NTT Docomo website, the phone is temporary suspension of the sale?

Toshiba called the phone T01A from previously announced as TG01. It’s a Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional based smartphone with 9.9mm or 4.1 WVGA touchscreen display with 800×480 resolution. With less than 1 cm thick, the phone comes with support for 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS and assisted GPS.

The TG01 version, the name will be used for outside Japan is expected to be available in Europe this summer.
