Nokia today made two new announcements. First, the new device in Nokia Cseries unveiled codenamed Nokia C5. It’s a small smartphone, measuring just over 12mm thin, 46mm accross and 112mm high, running on S60 3rd edition with a 2.2-inch display and a 3.2-megapixel camera. Along with this new phone, Nokia also unveiled the new device naming convention. In addition to the Xseries, Eseries and Nseries, Nokia Cseries is added to the line up. The Nseries remains the flagship and most advanced range of products. Xseries focuses on social entertainment. Eseries remains focussed on productivity and business while Cseries representss the core range of products.

Nokia is Working on the Next Maemo N920

The Nokia N900 has not been released yet but an info recently leaked that Nokia is now working on the next N-Series of the Maemo family as well as the next OS version Maemo 6. It’s the Nokia N920, which is possibly to come with Maemo 6. Unlike the older brother, the N920 will come with keyboard-less design.
Nokia Hints the Maemo 6 UI Concept, Capacitive and Multitouch Included

Still at the Maemo Summit, Nokia today leaks some hints of the next Maemo 6 UI concept. The Maemo 6 is said to include both portrait and landscape support. Currently there’s no portrait mode support on Maemo 5. Besides the multitouch and capacitive touchscreen are also included. With all of these Nokia call the Maemo 6 as an “iconic user experience and integrated internet services in one aesthetic package”. Unfortunately the Maemo 6 will not be launched until late in 2010.

Two weeks ago i posted an info about the 12.1 megapixel camera phone with Nokia logo on the back cover. We don’t know that’s real or not and never heard about that until i received a comment from the flickr account owner Marcelo Eduardo. Finally the rumor is revealed and the Nokia 12.1 megapixel camera Phone is FAKE! This one is just an imitation phone from another brand. It’s a two chips phone with tv. It’s not a really good phone anyway, but thanks to Marcelo for the clarification.
Verizon Wireless Introduces Nokia 7705 Twist

Together with the HTC Touch Pro2, Verizon Wireless also introduces the Nokia 7705 Twist. It’s not a common phone designed with a unique square shape that swivels open to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. The phone will be available to purchase for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate, online beginning September 13 and in Verizon Wireless Stores on September 21.
Nokia Representatives Talk about Applications for N900

Just like another new platforms, great device will not automatically be a good solution like what’s happened when Palm launched the Pre to the market while the applications were not ready yet. The same case now happens to the newly launched the Nokia N900 which is running on Maemo 5 software. Due to API changes dramatically in Maemo 5 from the previous Maemo platform, most applications built for the previous version will not automatically compatible to the Maemo 5. Now there’s a big question, where to get the applications for the N900?
Nokia N97 New Firmware Version 2.0 Gets Previewed on Video

The Nokia N97 Mini that was announced on the Nokia World event last week is running on new software which will be also available for the existing Nokia N97 in October. And recently Symbian World posted a very nice video recorded at the Nokia World 09 showing the preview of the upcoming new firmware version 2.0 for the Nokia N97. In summary, the new firmware will bring more memory, kinetic scrolling and more.
Nokia N900 Voted as the Most Favorite Product at Nokia World 09

During the Nokia World 09 event last week, Nokia Conversation team conducted kind of popularity contest among those products announced at the event. And as the result, the Nokia N900 voted as the most favorite product followed by the Nokia Booklet 3G at the second place and the new Nokia X6 at the third place. One thing that’s interesting is that the Nokia N97 that was became a hot issues few weeks ago is only voted at the fourth place with 6% of vote.
