LG Shows 7 New Phones at Dutch Press Update

It’s pretty interesting to see product updates before the official announcement published like this. By the time i wrote this post there’s still no official info yet on the LG Press Release. So thanks to folks at GSM Helpdesk who attended this event and managed to catch some pictures and info of the phones. Basically there are 7 phones shown up from a range of devices include several unknown names such as LG Pure, LG Jacquar 5 and the LG Viewty Smile.

LG KS365 – A touchscreen phone with 2.4 inch display with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 2 megapixel camera, music player and stereo FM radio. The LG KS365 is the follower of the LG KS360 and intended for young people.

Nokia C5 Unveiled Along With the New Device Naming Convention

Nokia today made two new announcements. First, the new device in Nokia Cseries unveiled codenamed Nokia C5. It’s a small smartphone, measuring just over 12mm thin, 46mm accross and 112mm high, running on S60 3rd edition with a 2.2-inch display and a 3.2-megapixel camera. Along with this new phone, Nokia also unveiled the new device naming convention. In addition to the Xseries, Eseries and Nseries, Nokia Cseries is added to the line up. The Nseries remains the flagship and most advanced range of products. Xseries focuses on social entertainment. Eseries remains focussed on productivity and business while Cseries representss the core range of products.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 with Android Donut 1.6 Launched Today

Finally the first Sony Ericsson based on Android OS launched and the final name is Xperia X10 as been previously reported. Most of the specs rumored before are correct including the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 processor, 8.1 megapixel camera, 4 inches WVGA screen with 480×854 resolution, A-GPS and Wi-Fi. One thing that’s somehow disappointed is that the Xperia X10 comes with Android Donut version 1.6, not the Android 2.0 as expected. It means the Motorola Droid is still the Android phones king so far. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will be available in select markets in Q12010.

And finally, the Motorola DROID is official. Motorola just announced the world’s first smartphone with Android 2.0. Along with the announcement the Motorola Droid’s website on Verizon is now no longer just an invitation but has been changed to a full website with all features of the phone. And the intersting thing is you may turn your speaker on and you will he some kind of robot’s sound that supposed to be a Droid’s voice.
