Mobile-review recently posted the first impressions review about the upcoming Nokia C7 which was leaked again last week. And this time, the review was made based on the writer’s personal experience when used the phone during vacations (i assumed it couple of days). In summary the Nokia C7 is said to be the Nokia N8 in a different body with lower price. Some more detail specs are also exposed including the Symbian^3 OS and the comparison chart with the Nokia N8. The Nokia C7 is predicted to release by the end of 2010 with the price ranged at €360-390.
While Nokia and probably most of Nokia fans are now waiting for the Nokia N8, so let’s see how the Nokia C7 compared side-by-side with that phone.
So, that’s all the specs we know so far. Now let’s see what Mobile-review said about the Nokia C7.
- Compared to Nokia N8, the Nokia C7 will sell better due to lower price and will probe that cameras in phones are not so important for average consumers.
- The exterior of the Nokia N7 body looks like a crossbreed between a phone from Kore and a typical Nokia, but still looks nice.
- The Nokia C7 doesn’t feel like a bar of metal, instead it is made of plastic which quality is similar to Nokia C6 and Nokia N97.
- The screen used on Nokia C7 is the one that is used in other Nokia models such as the X6. It is based on AMOLED comes with the resolution of 640×360, 3.5-inches, covered with glass and allows up to 16 million colors.
- The screen is capacitive with multi-touch support. The integrated light sensor adjusts the screen brightness automatically based on the environment. In comparison with Nokia N8, the screen became more responsive to touch.
- The BL-5K battery with the capacity of 1200 mAh offers up to 390 hours in standby mode and from 5.5 to 12 hours of talk time (UMTS/GSM).
- The Nokia C7 is the first Nokia model with Bluetooth 3.0 (High Speed).
You may read the complete review and photos on Mobile-review. But overall looks like the Nokia C7 is the main model on Symbian^3. And people who are accustomed to Nokia phones and Symbian OS will like the model. After all it is the best value for money on Symbian^3.
