Among those many new features and technologies brought to the iPhone 4, probably HD video recording capabilities is one of the most favorite one. However lately it became a big complaint since the HD video upload to YouTube makes the videos become useless and not viewable. According to the Steve Jobs, this over the air HD video upload will come to the iPhone 4 in the future. At the moment he suggested to use Mac or PC.
This info was received as a reply to one of the Macdailynews’s reader Christ T who sent an email complaining about this issue. Here is the email sent to Steve Jobs:
Steve,
I’m a HUGE fan of your products… MBP, Ipad 64gb WIFI, 2 iphone 3g’s and now 2 iphone 4′s… but I have a complaint… What’s the point of building in HD video capabilities when the compression upon uploading directly to youtube makes the video’s useless and not viewable? They’re not even remotely viewable!! I was so excited about this feature on the Iphone 4, but sadly to say, this is a serious disappointment. In today’s world, HD video is pointless if I can’t upload it “as is” directly to the net.
Please fix this issue.
Thanks,
Chris
And this was the reply:
You can upload them via a Mac or PC today. Over the air in the future.

It’s good to hear this kind of things. However we don’t know how soon is “the future” according to this email. What i’m thinking is, if that’s only a software matter i’m pretty sure it’s very easy for Apple to include this feature into the next iOS update. Or someone there can easily make apps to do that. But if there’s another issue, it’s a different story. So what about you, do you want this over the air HD video upload feature to come to the iPhone?
