Good news for Windows Phone 7 developers. At the Microsoft TechEd 2010 conference, Terry Myerson who runs the engineering for Windows Phone 7 stated that they will start shipping the Windows Phone 7 devices to select developers next month, in July. These developer-phones will range from a number of undiscloded OEM but both with similar specs and it’s available for free.

The details of the program has not decided yet but Brandon Watson from the Windows Phone 7 team said that they want to get maximum leverage of their phone distribution to developers. He also teased that the Windows Phone 7 team are focusing on the standardized packaging of the development kits accross devices which they said “very cool”.
So, July seems to be a good time for developers as they will have plenty of time to experiment with their apps to catch the “holiday season 2010″ when the OS released.
