Eldar Murtazin from mobile-review posted in his twitter about the announcement of the Nokia X6 8GB with lower price and same features with the previously announced the 32GB and 16GB version. The phone will be available in most markets. I have checked to the Nokia websites but there’s official announcement about this, doesn’t like when they announced the Nokia X6 16GB. However if you go to the product section of Nokia’s website you will find the Nokia X6 GB with the status of “Coming soon”. So i guess either it’s posted somewhere or Nokia didn’t post announcement about this.
The Nokia X6 introduced first time in October 2009 with 32GB storage capacity and followed by the 16GB version in April 2010. Compared to these previous version Nokia X6 32GB and 16GB, the specs of the Nokia X6 8GB is exactly the same. It features 3.2″ capacitive touchscreen with 640×360 pixels resolution up to 16.7 million colors, 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and automatic orientation sensors for display rotation. It supports quad band WCDMA 900/1900/2100, EGSM 850/900/1800/1900 and running on S60 5th Edition with Symbian OS version 9.4. Check this link for details specs.
Looking at this fact, looks like Nokia is doing the same strategy with iPhone to catch more consumers by offering the same product in different variants.
