An interesting statistic about the Android smartphones distribution published by an online ad network Chitika recently. According to the chart, Motorola Droid which introduced in October 2009 dominates the market with 33.75% share. HTC Hero and HTC Droid Eris are in the second and third position. Surprisingly, the HTC Evo which launched on June 4th already reached 1.93% of the market, not so far from Google’s first self-branded mobile device Nexus One with 2% of share.
Seems like the Motorola Android team has done a great job here. I remember the moment when the Droid launched last year. Motorola didn’t only offer an impressive specs of the phone but also did a great adertising and marketing campaign to boost up the phone sale. And another interesting thing is, with the Droid 2 coming soon, is Motorola will do the same campaign or another strategies to keep the Droid moments?
Well from the carrier side, Verizon holds 48% of the Android distribution followed by T-Mobile in the second with 23% and Sprint with 19%. From this data, some 8% of the operating system’s traffic in the sampe was from unrecognizeable devices.

so i am on my 5th motorola cliq holding out for the sixth to arrive.. Sad and i must say i’m really unhappy with the replacements ive been recently getting, keyboards not lighting up, the screen breaking , turning off unexpectedly, being extreamly hot when charging..etc.. ive just had the worst luck with this mobile phone.. they offered me the brand new dash and the new blackberry.. but i love the flexibility of this phone so significantly that im trying to look past it.. i simply want to know if anybody else is having these problems with replacements.. or just in general.
