Vodafone to Announce Linux Mobile based Samsung Phone

I came across this info while browsing messages on my Twitter but didn’t have any idea about the devices shown on the picture. Then i headed to BGR looking for some more details but nothing at that time. But just checked again and yes, BGR has the info. It’s a Samsung phone powered by Vodafone’s LIMO-based OS (Linux Mobile). The phone names so far rumored as Samsung Riedel I8305. Still according to some rumors Vodafone plans to announce this phone at a special event held in London on September 24th.

Not many details about the spec at the moment. But the phone supposed to have Wi-Fi, a nice big OLED touchscreen display, 8 megapixel camera. Also said that it will be launched together with the upcoming “Vodafone People” service to include features such as active contacts, location information, status updates, various integration with social networks like Twitter, Facebook, etc.
