Today, O2 announced the details about pricing and availabiltiy of the Palm Pre in Europe including the United Kingdon, Ireland and Germany. The phone will be available on October 13 in Germany and October 16 in the U.K. and Ireland. O2 will be the exclusive carrier for Palm Pre in these countries.

But as an illustration in the UK, Palm Pre is free to O2 customers in a 24-months contract and to customers taking an 18-months contract at £44.05 or £73.41 per month. Palm Pre also will be available on current O2 business tariffs as a monthly bolt on with the device available for free to account holders on all business tariffs from £30.91on a 24 or 36-month contract. Besides the handset, the Palm Pre accessories also will be sold including the Touchstone and Back Cover with a retail price at £44.11.
