Rather thank the Xperia X2 or X3 that have been waited so long by many people, Sony Ericsson today announces the Sony Ericsson Jalou. However unlike what had been reported by Engadget few days ago that it’s going to have a touchscreen with Symbian S60 5.0 as well as the top model Satio, the Jalou that’s announced today is a fashion mobile phone. At the same time Sony Ericsson also announces the Jalou limited edition designed by Dolce&Gabbana with real 24 carat gold plating.

Basically Sony Ericsson Jalou is a clamshell handset designed for fashion minded persons with only 73mm long makes it a perfect accessory to any handbag. It will be available in a variety of gem inspired colours including Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black. Technically the Sony Ericsson Jalou supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSPA 900/1700/2100. It has a 3.2 megapixel camera, built-in FM radio, A-GPS, Bluetooth, 262,144 color TFT screen with resolution of 240×320 pixels (QVGA) and microSD memory slot.
