Few days ago Forbes reported about the sms exploit in iPhone. Apple then responds to this dangerous security issue quickly by releasing iPhone 3.0.1 update to the current iPhone OS 3.0 to fix the security vulnerability. The update which supposed to be released on Saturday now already available in iTunes. It’s intended for iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS device.Simply connect your iPhone to iTunes and the update will automatically show up.

Don’t know yet whether there’s any other changes to the existing features with this update. But if you want to update yours i suggest you to backup your iPhone first. Mine was failed to update at the first time and i have to recover it. Furtunately i have the latest backup just few minutes before. If you experience the same problem just reconnect your iPhone to your iTunes and let it proceed the recovery process. Once it’s done you can restore from the backup.
