HTC Releases Hotfix to Enhance Security Mechanism of Bluetooth Service

HTC today releases the hotfix to enhance the security mechanism of Bluetooth service to make the Bluetooth communication more secure. This hotfix is suitable for several HTC devices including the HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Touch Pro, HTC Touch HD, HTC Touch 3G, HTC Touch Cruise and the HTC S740. For the Touch Diamond, this hotfix is only applied for Diamond2 which has the FTP service pre-installed.

To download the hotfix file you may go to the HTC Support website and follow the installation instructions available there. The hotfix is distributed in .exe file. So after you download the file you have to copy it to your device and run it from there. In addition, if you perform a device hard reset later, you will need to reinstall the hotfix again.
