Where the Palm Pre Applications Gone?

First of all, congratulations to Palm for the launch of the Palm Pre on June 6th, just few days ago. We’ve seen the excitement of so many people waiting for the phone and finally they got what they want. But then, now what? What you should do then after playing around with your Pre. You have to get something more than just a phone, that is the applications. But hey, where the applications gone? Even Handango, one of the biggest application store for mobile device doesn’t have any apps yet for the Palm Pre.

Yeah, Palm probably didn’t consider this situation or they did but nothing they can do since it’s not that easy to build system like Apple Application Store, Android Market or BlackBerry Application World. Even the giant software company like Microsoft needs so long time to have their own. At the end Palm just hand it over to developers to built applications for the Palm Pre.

And now, i’m sure all people who have bought the Palm Pre now thinking about the same situation. They are probably frustrating to find applications for their Pre. And what Palm do for this? I don’t know. Probably they are thinking the same thing. That’s why today they announces some applications for Palm Pre although not too many. So let’s see what Palm can do to speed up the application development for the Palm Pre.

One Response to “Where the Palm Pre Applications Gone?”

  1. Arthur Ostrowski Says:

The Palm Pre does not have a way of using VOICE COMMANDS with my Blue tooth FOR REAL HANDS FREE CONTROL? What goes on, this is a basic communication requirement???? It means that I have to park my car when I am on the road to dial someone just to use my Blue tooth ear piece an mike. I may as well just junk my Blue tooth investment. Someone missed a BASIC need with this otherwise great phone.

Please respond and advise me how to set this up!
