Wow! What a great year. In the middle of the excitement due to the launch of the Palm Pre with the newly invented webOS and the new iPhone 3GS, Sony Ericsson is rumored working on the next generation of their Windows Mobile based phone Xperia X2. And recently the Xperia X2 photos leaked and this time with detail specs of the phone.
There are few improvements on the new Xperia X2 compared to the X1. Basically the phone will feature 3.5″ WVGA OLED (increased from 3.0 from X1). The processor though not mentioned but will also faster than the X1 and the RAM also will be upped to 512MB. Another improvement is the 8.1 megapixel camera with auto focus, VGA @ 30fps (MP4 HQ).
The Xperia X2 will run on custom Windows Mobile 6.5 which is said to be very fast, even in some case faster than the iPhone. Besides the XPERIA Panels will also modified with plenty of innovative features including PS3 rempote play features and support for upgrading to Windows Mobile 7. And last but not least, finally Assisted GPS will also be present oboard.
This is so interesting although we don’t know yet if this is true or fake. And so far there’s no official confirmation or either the release date and pricing from Sony Ericsson. So let’s wait and see for more info in the next coming weeks.
