Motorola today announces a new slide out 3G mobile phone with gesture controls, Motorola MOTO W7 Active Edition. This phone is packed with motion-controlled games and built-in step pedometer. The phone will be available beginning in Q2 2009 in Asia and Latin America. You can choose from two colors – Licorice and Alphine White.
Basically the Motorol MOTO W7 Active Edition is designed for those who want a “moving” phone experience. The phone is equipped with an accelerometer that senses your body’s motions, orientation and hand gestures to perform tasks. For instance, flip the phone over to silence the ringer of an incoming calls, snooze the alarm clock or pause the music. You can also launch your favorite applications such as the music player, by shaking twice.
The Motorola MOTO W7 is also equipped with a built-in step pedometer that will enable you to count and record your daily walks and runs with a Personal Trainer application that will create a personal profile to help you control your exercise.
